MISPRINT NOTES: These tees are totally fine! The only flaw with these tees is a mess up on the neck size label.

Made from soft 100% cotton, this shirt features scientific illustrations of Hawaiian land snails. Perfect for everyday wear, this tee helps raise awareness of biodiversity and conservation in Hawaiʻi.

Hawaiʻi once harbored more than 750 land snail species (nā pūpū kuahiwi), but more than half have disappeared due to habitat loss and predation by invasive species. Land snails are vital parts of native ecosystems, as they play a crucial role as decomposers and fungivores. This tee celebrates native land snails while giving back to their protection.

100% pre-shrunk cotton printed with water-based ink. The soft sage color and loose fit make this tee a versatile wardrobe staple. Made in USA.

A portion of proceeds supports Bishop Museum's snail conservation efforts.

The Bishop Museum has one of the most comprehensive collection of Pacific island land snails in the world and includes representatives of many extinct, endangered, and threatened species and more than 300 undescribed species.. The approximately 25,000 islands of the Pacific Ocean harbor more than 6,000 land snail species, most of which are only found on a single island or archipelago. Unfortunately, molluscs, particularly Pacific island land snails like the ones in Hawaii, have the highest recorded extinction rate of any major animal taxonomic group, making the Museum’s collection all the more important in the conservation of this group. The Bishop Museum Malacology Department has been central in the conservation of Hawaiian land snails, conducting essential biodiversity research and maintaining a captive rearing program for species threatened with imminent extinction.
