BACKGROUND AND THEME
In May 2023, the Senate designated August 8th as Hawaiian Honeycreeper Celebration Day. To raise awareness of these special birds and to participate in the celebration, Laulima is hosting a drawing contest. We are asking keiki to create artwork with a Hawaiian honeycreeper theme.
WHO CAN ENTER
The contest is open to all children living in Hawaiʻi between the ages of 2-12 years. 
ENTRY RULES
Drawings are limited to three (3) colors total and may be done in pen, pencil, crayon, charcoal, pastel, or acrylic paint. Drawing must be on blank white paper (no ruled, grid, or color paper please). Only one entry per person. Entries are due by May 26, 2023 @ 9pm HST and must be submitted by a legal guardian. 
 
PRIZES
The winner will receive a $200 Laulima gift card and a t-shirt printed with their artwork. Each runner-up will receive a sticker pack as a thank you prize for participating. 
HOW IT WORKS
Laulima will select four (4) artworks to be entered into a voting contest on Instagram. The winning artwork will be printed onto products (including but not limited to t-shirts).
