Conservation status: Extinct
Tropidoptera rex (the smallest T. rex in the world!) belongs to the Amastridae family, the only extant endemic family left in Hawaii. This ground-dwelling species is endemic to Oahu and could be found on the summit of Kōnāhuanui.
