The critically endangered Laminella sanguinea is one of many imperiled tree snails of Hawaiʻi. Hawaiian land snails were once so common that they covered the leaves of the forest. More than 90% of Hawaiian land snails have gone extinct and the remaining few species are endangered. Conservationists are working against the clock to prevent the loss of Hawaiian land snails. This includes protecting pūpū kuahiwi from invasive predators like rats, Jacksonʻs chameleons, and rosy wolf snails. The Snail Extinction Prevention Programʻs captive breeding program helps boost pūpū kuahiwi populations for reintroduction into the wild.

10% of proceeds supports Native Hawaiian flora and fauna conservation.
