Koali ‘awa (Ipomoea indica) is an indigenous vine with vibrant purple to blue flowers. Found from low- to mid-elevation in a variety of habitats, koali ʻawa mostly prefers dry climates. Historically, different parts of the plant have been used medicinally. Koali ‘awa is a member of the morning glory family, Convolvulaceae.
